Grade Calculator

The grade calculator can take in scores and weights from all of your assignments and provide an up-to-date letter grade and average.
Weighted grade calculation
The weighted grade is equal to the sum of the product of the weights of your assignments (w) in percent (%) times the percentage on those assignments (p):
Class Example
This semester in English, you have the following assignments that are used to calculate your grade.
- 3 Homework assignments weighted 5% each with scores of 100, 86, and 77.
- 3 Exams weighted 20% each with scores of 81, 90, and 72.
- 1 Final Exam weighted 25% and you score 89
How we Calculate Letter Grades
With the Letters setting, simply tell us if you got an A+, B, etc. We map your letter grade to a GPA, and then use the weights for each grade to find out the weighted grade point average and resulting Final letter grade.
Grade Calculator Capabilities
You can add all your classes for the semester using the Course text input and track their distinct grades separately. You don't even need an account to do this. We will keep your grades per class safely stored nearby. You just come back each time you receive a newly graded assignment, enter it into that class' list of assignments, grades, & weights, and calculate. When you want to restart fully, as in clearing all your course data and starting fresh, simply hit the 'Clear all course data' button below the main calculate and reset buttons.
